Skitter leaping to Screw City GT 2013

It's has been a long time since I posted anything. I wasn't on a hobby break I have been very busy working on my Skaven for Screw City.

I have roughly 270+ models that need painting and I have about 84 or so completed.

My army theme is based on the Skaven battle for the Empire city of Nuln. I loved the idea of the rats living beneath the city for decades waiting to launch their devastating attack. So, I was inspired to have the rats stealing the hats of the fallen Empire warriors and stealing Empire technology. Nuln is famous for building and arming the Empire with steam tanks and canons, what a perfect chance for the rats to use this technology against the unsuspecting humans.

At first I thought it would be very cool to convert a steam tank into a mobile WLC but as I began building it out I started to second guessing that decision. I already have two WLC built and painted why would I need a third? So I decided to keep going and build the Plague Catapult/WLC/Steamtank conversion of Skaven madness.

Here are some WIP's of the Skaven just starting to get a bit cheesy.

Adding the catapult to a bit of planning to and extra bits to build out the third axle and chassis.

Then as I was building this monstrosity I envisioned a platform were a monk would mix the vile batch of plague and preach the words of the Great Horned Rat.

The captured crew man tied to the catapult so he can witness the destruction of his city and the slaughter of his people.

I will add more Skaven bits to adorn the steam tank and cover up the remaining empire shields and symbols.

I have a bit of green stuff to do and then it will ready to prime and paint.

Green stuff done ready for paint!
