#AoS Narrative Tournament Scenario Ideas

So the Age of Sigmar is upon us eh? According to Teh Internets, Warhammer is no more, tournaments are the dustbins of history, and your models are more worthless than a Greek bank (how's that for topical?)

Scenes such as this with vast open spaces and ranked units are forlorn and forgotten.

On the plus side, Age of Sigmar is a boon for narrative gaming, the strongest system so far to live out the stories of mythical defiance, defeat, and good old failure.  What if we tried to make a tournament that plays to that strength?  I (in my admittedly terrible gaming knowledge) propose a few ideas for tournament scenarios driven by  narrative.  Below are my first time out ideas.  Please feel free to comment or improve.

1. The Settlers
This scenario requires a unit to be designated as "Settlers."  This unit must have 1 wound per model, can be no more than 30 models, and cannot possess the fly special rule. The "Settlers" unit gains the following special rule.  Any friendly model within 3" may successfully take a magic or shooting wound inflicted to the target unit on a D6 roll of 2+.  The objective of this game is for the Settlers unit to move off of an opposing players board edge.

2. The Scouts
This scenario requires a unit to be designated as "Scouts."  This unit must be equipped with a shooting attack.  Instead of Shooting Weapons, this unit is equipped with far seeing technology and may not attack with Shooting Weapons this game.  This unit is tasked with searching for a specific artifact known to be in possession by the opposing army.  Once a turn this unit may target an enemy unit for a search.  Once a unit is targeted it counts as having been "Searched." No hit or wound roll is required.  Once three units have been searched roll a d3.  The unit that was "searched" first is chosen on a 1, second on a 2, and third on a 3.  The unit that is rolled possesses the artifact.  If your army destroys this unit before the end of the game, they have achieved the objective.  (Note that if the unit rolled was destroyed prior to the roll, the artifact is lost (you were too busy killing to notice.)

3. The Pack Rat
This scenario requires a unit to be designated as the "Pack Rat."   The Pack Rat unit must possess the Monster Keyword.  This unit holds the entire wealth of your army, and as such makes any friendly unit wholly within 12" immune to Battleshock.  For the duration of the game, the Pack Rat may not be killed, but for every wound inflicted on it, loses some of its' treasure.  Keep track of how many unsaved wounds were inflicted by the opposing army and compare with your opponent at the end of the game.  The player ho inflicted the most wounds on their opponents "Pack Rat unit wins the objective.

4. Underground Battle.
This scenario is fought deep underground, and as such, has the following special rules.  Models with the Fly Special rule lose any and all benefits, and their movement is reduced to 4".  Any shooting attack has a maximum range of 6" due to the low ceiling, and low visibility.   Any model within 3" of the table center may attempt to start a bonfire on a 2d6 roll of 12.  The player who successfully lights the bonfire first achieves the objective.
