Wood Elf Waywatcher Lord

I finished off a the Wood Elf Waywatcher lord over the weekend.

This is a model I had been looking forward to painting for a long time as the pose is so dynamic. It is also massive compared to the other wood elves, especially the Waywatchers.

I would say it is not a particularly easy model to paint well. The armor is all wooden sticks that need highlighting, and the face is covered so is very small and hard to reach. Also the model is old, so some of the detail is missing and needs to be painted on. I stuck with the tried and tested greens and browns so it blends with my current waywatcher unit, but I have not done any freehanding on the cloak yet. It is blended to a reasonable standard. I think if I come back to it later I would like to change the inner lining of the cloak and also revisit the quiver on his back. I wanted to string the bow as well,  but the angle of the bow and arm is all wrong, which I didn't notice so would be difficult to correct now.

It is still a wicked cool model though!
