So I have a busy few days and weekend so haven’t done as
much hobby as the past few weeks but I have managed to get a few bits and bobs
done.
Firstly I have finished a couple movement trays with tufts
etc to match my basing and I am really happy with the results! It ties the
bases together a lot better in my opinion. Next up I built a new dining table lol (my
current hobby area!) which is a great move forward with the new house! I have
also finished painting my Slaughter Master (he has a head at long last lol!)
Really happy with how he came out so pretty chuffed there. I have also pinned
and glue together Inquisitor Coteaz for my new grey knight army. Love this
model and can’t wait to paint it, easily my favourite inquisitor fluff and
model wise.
The big (HUGE) thing I have been working on however was
assembling my Orc Rogue Idol… Yes I caved and bought it! I saw an awesome deal
going on twitter (thanks to @Joel__henry for selling and @Stuntymike for
tempting me!) So this will be my secondary (or primary maybe lol) stonehorn! It
was awesome fun (and quite easy actually) to build so big thumbs up there. I
have a cunning plan for converting/modifying it to better match the theme of
the army involving a rider…. I will get pics up of my plan in a work in
progress position early next week (or earlier if you’re on twitter.). Im going
to be painting this guy up as stone using a similar technique to my terrain
features on the ironblaster and Arack-na-Horn with heather/tufts protruding
from the crevasses in the Idol’s rock joints.
Anyway loads of pics here for reference (particularly
assembly stages for the Rogue Idol and scale pictures!) so have a look and let
me know what you think guys!
