So another successful and great fun painting project this
week and I finished my second OrcGre Irongut. Really can’t express enough how
fun these guys are to paint and going that extra mile to paint them as best I
can doesn’t feel like a chore at all! Really pushing myself on the blending of
the skin and have found a really easy but effective technique to do this. I
will do a separate blog post on this but I have shown below some work in progress
paint jobs, the main trick is using the GW green glaze to tie the layers together.
In addition I have also be practising and trying to improve
my metal effects and have tried using the new GW Rzyla Rust effect, I used it very
sparingly with a very light stipple on some of the metal. I think It looks
quite good but the full blown rust effect isn’t really to my taste but a small/limited
application looks quite good I think! Also really liking doing the basing on
these guys too, loving my highland heather!
Let me know what you think guys!
