BRINGING THE HEAT, Blog Update and News!

Nick Cage wearing ShortShorts and a John Travolta Mask.

Hey Guys! Its been a while so thought I would explain myself. Unfortunately I was in a pretty bad cycling accident a few weeks ago (car going 60mph, me on a push bike...) but thankfully I got away with no broken bones or lasting injuries (I must have a 2+ ward save vs Chariot Impact hits....) so pretty lucky all in all!

What this has meant is that I have been in some pretty terrible pain and discomfort for 2 weeks (still very sore but getting better). Its been pretty bad since I couldn't really do much (normally very active cycling, hill walking and running/gym) or even do hobby! Now that I can actually sit at a table for a decent length of time I will be doing no doubt a bucket of painting until I can actually get out and about again!

So plan for the next week is to finish my 600pt force for the Campaign (Major update required for this too) by the end of next week and to have finished a 1200pt force by the end of week 2 of April. Bigger picture I'm aiming to have 2400pts done by then end of May ready for Cry Havok which will be the first tournament outing of the OrcOgres!

My hobby buzz is through the roof at the moment with excitement for the OrcOgres at peak levels and having been listening to buckets of podcasts (pretty much all I could do other than watch films for the first week!). Speaking of which I have a new found love for the Skull Bros Awesome Podcast, these guys are absolutely spot on with my hobby love. Dudes that love painting, gaming and banter(black humour also ftw!), so enthusiastic for the hobby too, which is always great to hear(Waaagh Paca in particular lol!). Listened to like 10+ of their back episodes now and cant recommend enough! I have taken to declaring that all of my actions (gaming or other wise...) will be "Bringing the heat!!!". For example try these statements out in real life for +10 man points, "my ironblaster is bringing the heat!!", "Im Bringing the heat in Tesco's", "This Sandwich is Bringing the heat" etc etc. Basically any abstract situation can bring the heat now.

On another side note I was subjected to the horror that is Grease the film (first time seeing it) which while against all my loves in filming/entertainment (John Travolta did not bring the heat) it did show an epic Nick Cage in #ShortShorts wearing a John Travolta Mask, definitely what I hope Nick Gentilly wears at the Dwellers Below "Face Off" tournament. Picture above!

Another thing I have done in wanton abandon is come up with wacky army lists for no reason other than boredom so I will be unleashing these in the coming months vs the lads.

Anyway hobby/painting updates in the next few weeks and hopefully some more posts from my Co-Conspirators on their excellent progress (Props to Mike, the rest of you: A POX ON YOUR HOUSES!)

Peace out team, bring the HEAT and roll like a boss!!!
