Tetto'eko is the New Black

So after a wee bit of rumination on the Lizardman boom and seeing some similar ideas on twitter I wrote a cheeky wee list for tetto'eko! This guy is an absolute steal at 185pts: Loremaster heavens, can reroll comet drops, can reroll 1s (and 6s if you roll a 1 at the start of the phase) and can give D3 units vanguard!

So I sat down and tried to come up with a combat army that can maybe vanguard 3 units right up the board turn 1. I think it could do with some terradons and it chameleons to clear the way for the vanguarding combat units. at worst this army can be very passive aggressive, hemming in an enemy with poison skirmishers and then having threatening charge lanes with the smashy units and bombarding the enemy with comets and chain lightning! Also depending on the army I can vanguard the 3 salamanders up for a turn 1 incineration!

Definitely gonna give this list a go and tweak to fit a badass old blood and some chameleons/terradons in :) thoughts on the list guys?

  1. With all the extra Lord points you have, I would think about finding the points to fit in a Flying Old Blood with the stegadon helm, a rerollable 1+ save and a great weapon.

  2. Oooo I do like the sound of that! How would you kit him out? Think the carpet and steghelm is 90pts before the dawn stone :( Hmm maybe:

Magic Carpet, Dragonhelm, Dawnstone, great weapon, light armour and shield? 1+ re roll vs shooting 2+ reroll in combat?

I think magic carpet, talisman of preservation, charmed shield, light armour great weapon might be a winner tho: bit more cannon protection and a 4+ ward is always nice!

Although maybe just sticking him on a cold one might be the best shout, still pretty manoeuvrable and can afford much more kit to make him extra killy and devastating in combat!
