Hey guys!
Sorry for the delay in getting this post up, I have been
super busy with work (not getting home til 10pm…..) so really struggled to keep
up to date. Barely touched twitter either so I feel like I’m in a strange
socialless bubble of non media!
Anyway enough pathetic excuses and moaning on to the meat
and two veg of the post, the PaintHammer Challenge voting! First of huge thanks
to all the participant and people who have given words of encouragement. Some
of the work produced has been incredible and it’s brilliant to see the
enthusiasm of folk despite the current hobby negativity surround “9th”
Edition, round bases and the age of Sigmar bubble hammer (I’m always positive
so I naturally can’t wait!). Hopefully people will be keen to do this again
with a new model and as such the winner will get to choose the July model for
the next phase
So how do we proceed? Very simple, just type the name of the
person below as a comment to this blog for the person you are voting for. Most
votes wins! I will also count any twitter and forum votes to add them to the
below. Please try not to be sneaky and vote multiple times (#MultipleVoteGate)!
Voting will close at 23:59 (GMT) on Thursday the 11th of June. You don’t
need to be a participant to vote and shameless self-promotion is fully endorsed
and recommended!
Good luck to all involved, I’m really going to struggle to
decide who to vote for!

Too hard to pick just one, you can tell how much work everyone put into their figures, the three above had work that was a little more polished, a little more of a complete finish to the figures. Looking forward to next month already!
Les Martin..... Great colour choices.

I vote for Jon Kerr. He has achieved a seamless conversion with a gritty realism to the painting.

Been bloody hard deciding between all the great entries but I'm going to vote for Steve Wren. Really struggled to decide between all the entries!
ReplyDeleteJon's conversion is just awesome and creatively I think he, Joe and Paul W have done the best job in doing something unique and cool. I love the paint style and colour choices from Les, Phil and Ben, really fit my mental image of these models. Dan M's paint scheme and rust effects are excellent and the basing is very imposing!
Ultimately I think Steve has combined all of the above best in my opinion :) Huge thanks to all involved, been great seeing this project progress and how much people have got into it :)
